About

Why The Simply Still Post

There came a point when I realized life had become louder, faster, and more complicated than I wanted it to be.

Like many people, I found myself constantly moving from one thing to the next. Always busy. Always trying to keep up. And somewhere in the middle of all that, the simple, meaningful parts of life started to get pushed aside.

While I currently own and operate a flower farm and truly love the work... the physical intensity of it, combined with health issues, has made me really focus on how I want to live my life.

Knowing that I can't continue flower farming for very long, I wanted to create a business around something that felt personal and meaningful. I figured if I was feeling the need to cut out the noise and focus on the things that truly matter, others might be, too.

I remembered many years ago I created a snail-mail club for kids. I absolutely loved putting those packages together and imagining the excitement it would bring when a child got something fun out of the mailbox addressed just to them.

At the time, though, the world was rushing toward digital. Everything seemed to be moving online, and the idea of receiving something meaningful in the mail felt like it was fading away.

But now it seems that more and more people are putting down their phones and stepping away from screens that bombard them with constant notifications.

We all seem to be craving analog connection again and are picking up actual books instead of screens. We're writing in journals and looking for slower, more tangible experiences. There's a growing appreciation for things we can actually hold in our hands.

So I decided to try again, and Simply Still was born.

My hope is that you genuinely look forward to finding it in your mailbox each month. And that it serves as a quiet little pause in your busy life.

That it's a reason to make another cup of coffee or tea.

A reason to sit on the porch for a little while longer.

A reason to put your phone down and enjoy a quiet moment.

My life is lived with faith, and you'll find it woven gently throughout each mailing. The purpose is simply to encourage you in practical, everyday ways as we care for our homes, our families, and our hearts.

I believe a meaningful life is found in the small things we often overlook. Like gathering around the dinner table, being truly present with our family, and all the quiet moments that remind us what really matters.

Thank you for being here. I hope The Simply Still Post becomes something you look forward to finding in your mailbox each month.
